The Dosage began in Colombo in December 2015 as Sri Lanka’s first digital video magazine on health, fitness and lifestyle. Every story in its first issue came with a film, shot by our own video team. You can still read it, and watch it, in The Original.
Today The Dosage is an independent newsroom based in Victoria, linking two cities and the people who move between them.
We report every day on the stories that matter between Colombo and Melbourne, and explain them simply:
- Melbourne and Victoria: local news, transport, councils and community life.
- Sri Lanka: what’s happening at home, from politics to the weather.
- Australia and the world: politics and policy that affect our readers.
- Business and the economy: prices, rates, jobs and the cost of living.
- Health, science and tech: what the evidence says, without the jargon.
- Entertainment, culture and sport: film, music, food, festivals and cricket.
Each printed edition follows one story all the way through, instead of fifty short pieces. It’s slim and made to keep. Point your phone at a page and the story opens up: the film, the voices, and the numbers explained.
